Not every band wants to be all modern, shiny and robotically precise. Some prefer the raw, natural and human side of things. My mission is to find your sonic identity without making things sterile or overproduced (which is a common problem with a lot of records these days).
If you value attitude and uniqueness in your sound, then we already have something in common.
MEET THE MAN
I'm Alex Sedin, metal mixing and mastering engineer and producer. I help bands define the vision of their record, and then bring it to life. I do singles, EPs and full length albums. There's a special place in my heart for loud, obnoxious and filthy records, and extreme music is my number one passion in life.
As I tell my clients, a good mix alone is never enough. Songs themselves, arrangement, setup, performance, recording - all these drastically impact the way a record feels. That's why, whenever possible, I take great care in guiding bands through the whole process: from songwriting and arrangement to demoing and recording. This way we can start with the end in mind, addressing possible pitfalls early on, and getting things to sound best from the beginning.
Trust is extremely important in the production process. Working with a band means stepping into their collective universe in a gentle yet confident way, in order to make creative choices about their music and their message to the world. Each band has their own unique touch, their own set of strengths. My job is figuring out what they are, and making them shine. Always remembering that we are not forever, but our music is.
